Rural Food Futures: La Marsica Meets the Dingle Peninsula / Corca Dhuibhne
As part of the 2026 pilot of Rural Food Futures, the Dingle Food Festival welcomes students and teachers from the Arrigo Serpieri Agricultural Secondary School in Avezzano, Italy, together with Ernesto Di Renzo, Professor of Food Anthropology, Cultural and Gastronomic Heritage, and Anthropology of Taste at the University of Rome Tor Vergata and Scientific Director of MarsicaLand, the Marsica’s regional agrifood festival in Abruzzo.
Visit the delegation in the Bia Dingle area to taste La Marsica, with organic and artisan products produced by the school and from the biodistrict available to taste and buy.
The delegation will also join the conversation at Backyard at Blas for “Learning by Doing: How Do We Teach the Next Generation of Food Makers?”, exploring how practical skills, food knowledge and cultural traditions can be passed on to the next generation.
