Italian wines with Dáire Ó Lúing

Join local sommelier Dáire Ó Lúing for a guided tasting of Italian wines. Learn about terms like “natural,” “organic,” and “biodynamic” while tasting three unique Tuscan wines. Discover how to taste wine professionally in a super-relaxed environment. Topics such as Tuscany and sustainable farming practices will be covered. Leave with more confidence when approaching wine.

Potions from the Hedgerows Workshop

In this workshop join Juli Ni Mhaoileoin, the Dingle Druid, to reconnect with nature. Juli studied horticulture, herbalism and plant spirit medicine. Making herbal remedies and food from the hedgerows is her lifelong passion. Learn how to use foraged fruits, berries and plants for vibrant health and vitality. Learn about forgotten skills and remedies such as homemade blackberry cider vinegar, hawthorn brandy, sloe gin, pestos, chutneys and potions from the hedgerows. Lots of tastings during the workshop.

Dingle Town Park

Kids Cookery Workshops in Dingle Town Park Marquee with The Cool Food School Workshop will be 30 minutes approx, suitable for ages 4+ Kids will meet an alien, search for a blue tomato and make a magic sauce in this engaging, fun cooking class with Deirdre from The Cool Food School. A tomato bruschetta has never been this fun before! Deirdre is an award winning food educator, children's cookbook author and influencer. She has brought her innovatione, entertaining approach to food to over 15,000 children nationwide in schools, preschools and at events like Bloom, Ballymaloe Festival of Food and All Together Now.

Beekeeping Workshop

Tadhg Leahy has kept bees for 16yrs, starting with a small nucleus (starter hive). He now keeps between 20 & 25 colonies in different locations west of Dingle where the bees forage whitethorn, blackthorn, fuchsia, blackberry and heather. Weather permitting he will do an apiary visit this year after the workshop and anyone interested will need to bring a bee suit and gloves for the optional visit.
