“Great Daingean Uí Chúis Bake Off”
The competition this year is for freshly baked fruit cakes. You could make a strawberry sponge, a raspberry bakewell cake, a rhubarb crumble cake, or a peach upside down cake, anything as long as fruit is the central attraction. No previous baking experience is required and the event is open to all amateur cooks between the ages of 7-14 years.
How the event works:
Once registered to take part in the bake off, all interested parties are asked to bake their favourite fruit inspired cake.
The cake must be baked by the entrant and brought to Dingle for judging on Sunday 5th of October at 11.00am.
Judging shall be carried out by a panel of our chefs from Dingle.
The event shall take place in Dick Mack’s Yard where cakes shall be displayed and judged.
The competition results shall be announced at 11.45 pm on Sunday 5th October.
Entry fee is €5.00 per baker and all proceeds will go to a local charity.
